Over the last 40 years we have gained an enviable reputation throughout the UK as being one of the best fishing club facilities for groups of young anglers in the country.
Our facility is open, free of charge, to groups of youngsters from the age of 8 years upwards. Young people come from schools, youth clubs, scouts/guide groups, junior angling clubs and include children at risk and with special needs or disabilities.
Our purpose-built centre in Welley Road, Wraysbury, Berkshire, can accommodate between eight and 22 youngsters. Our facilities are equipped for a week's stay with accommodation, cooking facilities and club house. Children’s age groups start at eight years of age. All facilities and educational courses are entirely FREE OF CHARGE. Our instructors and volunteers are here to help you during your stay and we can arrange a week's timetable with you in advance.
Angling projects was set up by founder and co-ordinator, Les Webber MBE, to encourage children to take up fishing and to appreciate the outdoors. Angling Projects is staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers and is supported by our recognised patrons who include celebrities, fishing journalists and MPs.
The schools' programme has been running since 2003 and is aimed at Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils. It is both fun and educational and includes the three main ingredients – reading – writing – maths. The initial programme was produced by Mrs Pat Mansfield (a teacher from Oxford) in conjunction with Les. It was the first of its kind to be produced specifically to promote fishing and wildlife conservation in the school programme.
The schools' programme is running in a number of educational establishments throughout the UK. It is now a permanent part of the school curriculum in many of them, for which we have won several ‘Investors in Education Awards’.
In addition, we assist in building an angling section in the school library.

A number of schools across the UK are working with Angling Projects and Junior Coarse Angling UK. We are leading the way to getting angling into schools.
To find out more on how Angling Projects can help your school use angling to develop key stage 2,3,4 contact Les Webber for an informal chat. We are always happy to put you in contact with other schools who have benefited from involvement with our work.
